Perfect Equipment for G27 Jan 05, 2011
By P. Gregory The stand is easy to assembly and looks great. It has fully adjustable components and is easy to store. Compared it with lower priced stands and it is definitely worth the dollars. Great with the G27 system.

Rock solid, great adjustability, easy setup, compact storage Aug 04, 2010
By Eric Boosman This is a fantastic stand. If you have limited space and either want a serious racing rig that you can easily put away, or if you don't have room for a full cockpit and racing seat, this is a great solution.
I have a Logitech G25 Racing Wheel retrofitted with a Momo TRK35BK0R Trek Red 350 mm Leather Steering Wheel set up on it and have been using it with Dirt 2, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Need for Speed: Shift on PS3, along with other serious racing sims on PC. The stand is rock solid. It never feels like it's tilting as you get with lesser light weight stands and cheap tables. Even with the full size racing wheel, this thing takes all the intense gameplay and just stays put. It's heavy, but that adds to its stability.
You can pull it right up to your couch, or use any chair with it, so it's infinitely flexible for your setup. You can even set it up for standing gameplay. It's just as easy to mount an arcade joystick to the top instead of a wheel for that arcade cabinet feel, or flight sim controls.
For storage, the wheel folds over the arms and the arms fold flat against the base. Your wheel and pedals stay mounted and you can easily just move the whole compact unit into a closet or some other out of the way place. Since everything stays mounted, set up takes less than 30 seconds! Great design.
It looks like metal, but it isn't. It's MDF (medium density fiberboard) but it's got a super tough texture coating (like rhino lining) that will hold up easily to intense use. Lots of assembly is required, but it's no more complicated than a desk from ikea, and the assembly design and tool quality is the best I've ever seen in a ready to assemble piece.
My only real complaint is the price. It's expensive, no doubt, but there's nothing that compares to its advantages. Is it worth it? Yes. I wouldn't say it's a bargain value, but I would buy it again with no hesitation.
Well Designed Stand Works Quite Well Jan 03, 2012
By Richard B. Kaufman I like to play GT5 on my PS3. Like most of you, I'd love to have a purpose-built racing rig. And, like most of you, I don't have the space. So I went online and researched all the foldable/collapsible stands out there. Based on what I read - and especially based on a review on insidesimracing.com, which compared it more to a full rig than a wheel stand - I decided to get the Steadiplay. True, it costs more than its competition, but in my opinion it's worth the extra bucks. In fact, it's something of a bargain.
The Steadiplay arrived within a week, well packaged. Assembly was fairly simple; I'm slow and methodical and it took me about an hour. Most of you will finish it in less than half that time.
The Steadiplay is a very impressive looking stand. The powder-coated pieces feel substantial and look durable. The small details -- the rounded corners, the aluminum bars, the quality of the fasteners -- help make it stand out from some of its competition which, to me, look a bit more "homemade". This unit was clearly designed by a designer with a good head and a good eye.
The unit is quite strong and easily adjustable into about any position, no matter your size. I'm using it with the Thrustmaster T500RS, a relatively heavy steering wheel; the Steadiplay supports it easily, and is rock steady during play. The unit folds up - complete with the Thrustmaster wheel and pedals attached - in literally 10 or 15 seconds, and then sits in a cutout beneath a window where it's hardly noticeable. It sets up equally fast.
My only criticism is the lack of a provision for mounting a stick shift anywhere but on the top stand, right next to the wheel, which would place the Thrustmaster TH8 RS shifter way too high. (I'll probably mount it on a glass coffee table that I can roll next to my chair, unless I can think of a better solution.)
Frankly, I'm surprised I haven't heard more buzz about the Steadiplay. Everyone who sees mine loves it and wonders why they never heard of it before; I wonder the same thing myself. Highly recommended.
Very good product, outstanding customer support Mar 30, 2011
By Leigh C I've owned this stand for about a month, using it to mount my T500 wheel and ECCI pedals, and I'm very happy with it so far.
Pros:
-Clever design. Lots of adjustments and very stable
-Build quality is excellent
-Very nice mounting hardware (even has a pre-drilled plate which allows you to hard-mount your wheel to the top platform)
-Great customer service
Cons:
-Not cheap
-No shifter mount available
So this product is very good, but not perfect (I would say 4 stars) I gave it 5 stars because of the customer support. I had a small issue with a piece of the hardware and the seller sent me replacement parts the very same day I reported the problem. Woodhaven's customer support have been outstanding throughout and I would not hesitate to order from them again.
